Where are we?  

 

During last 15 years, United Arab Emirates became one of leading countries in Gulf. Although, country size is very small (83,600 km2), total population is around 2.3 M and 80% of the population are foreigners, but the country is well-known as a largest business hub in the Gulf area.

A growing non-oil sector pushed the UAE's GDP up to $88.1bn in 2004, a 7.4% increase over 2003, according to the Central Bank's annual report. The non-oil sectors contributed 71.7% to the figure, up from 69.8% the previous year. The government deficit shrank by 94.1% to $232.7m in the same period, financed solely by returns on government investments. Analysts said the figures show the UAE has one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
